Turkey Holy Family Loom Nativity
Hand knotted in Central Anatolia in Turkey. The looms come from an artisan group by the name of Anadolu (anna-dough-lou). The group provides opportunities for artisans to learn skills in handmade crafts in order to provide income for their families and to keep the Turkish culture alive. On average, each nativity loom takes five days to make. The artisan makes the loom, dyes the wool and then weaves the rug.
Each nativity loom, which measures 12” will vary slightly since each is individually made.
